Love a lot of the little details here, especially about Meres and his driving.
Then, Callan/Meres run a scam akin to Thor/Loki's "Get help!". Meres pretends to be falling-down-drunk at a party so Callan has an excuse to manhandle him upstairs, where they pick up the guns that Lonely dropped off earlier. Then, the pair take out the baddies quick as can be. This sounds amazing!
File on a Darling Daughter sounds very interesting too. Meres-the-torturer always fascinates me, wish we could have seen AV do that particular scene, it sounds like A Lot.
He demands to know how Hunter could have a daughter, since Section orders state that no chief can have relatives, as it gives the Russians too much leverage. (This is kind of an absurd order and contradicts the TV show). LOL what. That's almost as heinous as the whole "Hunter can't leave the office" thing, which I still can't make head or tail of. Hunters leave the office all the time, what does it MEAN.
I'm not surprised these stories had a lot of sexist stuff. Callan's not the best ever show for women by any means, but a lot of the series' other writers did more interesting things with women than Mitchell ever did.
